Starring Jean Dujardin, Berenice Bejo and James Cromwell. Like the main character in this wonderful film, I don’t think the recent advances in cinematography add much to the art. This film confirmed my belief.

Directed by Steve McQueen. Starring Michael Fassbender and Carey Mulligan. Extraordinary cinematography, powerful script, but it lacks character development. Focus on the sibling relationship, not the sex addiction.

A wonderful Radio 4 production in the author’s centenary year. A film based on Rattigan’s amazing “The Deep Blue Sea”, directed by Terence Davies and starring Rachel Weisz, is something to look forward to.
